Families are catered for and full facilities are available for babies and children at each of our three hotels in the lake district, Damson Dene Hotel near Lake Windermere, Riverside Hotel in the centre of Kendal, and Newby Bridge Hotel overlooking Lake Windermere.

Each of the hotels can offer a children’s menu, high chairs, cots and baby listening monitors. We are also more than happy to keep items in the kitchen fridge and to sterilise bottles and heat up baby food. We do our best to make children welcome.

Road and rail access to our hotel locations in south Cumbria could not be easier, with also easy access to the whole south lakes area for those who would like to explore. Then with the rest of Cumbria and Lakeland only on the doorstep, many visitors enjoy taking advantage of one of our bargain break packages for a short break.

The Lake District is the ideal location for a family holiday or weekend break, with its breath taking scenery and bustling market towns. Our staff will be only too pleased to advise you of any number of exciting and interesting places for your family to visit.
