Lake District accommodation - your choice from friendly hotels to an idyllic cottage

We can offer guest accommodation in the Lake District either in one of our hotels in South Lakeland, or self catering in our Georgian Farmhouse at Lindisfarm with glorious views over the Duddon Estuary.

The Farmhouse at Lindisfarm has four bedrooms sleeping 8, a dining kitchen with Aga and a spacious living room. All the main rooms have glorious views over the Duddon Estuary. Outside is a garden with lawn and seating area and lovely views. There is excellent parking. Guests are free to explore the working farm and to collect fresh eggs for their breakfast.

Situated as it is in the south west of Cumbria, the location provides easy access to Cumbria’s west coast, but is also convenient for some of the most popular Lakeland centres, with Coniston, Ambleside, Windermere and Bowness not very far away, and the Lakeland fells are all around.

Each of our three hotels in the Lake District, Damson Dene Hotel near Lake Windermere, Riverside Hotel in the centre of Kendal, and Newby Bridge Hotel overlooking Lake Windermere, offers very easy road and rail access for visitors, and offers also easy access to the whole south lakes area for those who would like to explore a little. Then with the rest of Cumbria and Lakeland only on the doorstep, some might enjoy taking advantage of one of our bargain break packages for a short break.

There are several nearby golf courses and some of the finest walking in the country on and around the Lakeland fells. If you are looking for a golfing or walking holiday our staff will be pleased to organise an itinerary for you.

The Newby Bridge Hotel has its own mooring on Lake Windermere, offering ideal facilities for sailing,  and also has fishing rights for the lake. Lake Windermere also offers some of the best water-sport facilities in the country.
