Just a short line to express our appreciation for the way you and your staff looked after us last week. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. We all had a terrific time, in no small measure due to our accommodation. Thank you all very much.

I wish to express our thanks for 3 delightful days staying in the Riverside HOtel. The highlight of our stay was your restaurant. The food was excellent, but the thing that impressed us was the wonderful service. The staff were so efficient and as I am confinrf to a wheelchair, they were so helpful. Nothing too much trouble for them. If any of my friends were coming to visit the Lakes I would highly recommend your hotel. Thank you for a lovely three days.

I am writing to thank you and your team for the wonderful way you looked after us all last week. This was the final Great Garden Gataways holiday for us after seven years and with beautiful weather, gorgeous scenery and an excellent hotel - it made a fitting end. Our thanks to everyone.

Last Friday we held our U3A Bridge Group lunch at the Riverside and would like you to know that we were very pleased with the whole event. The lunch was excellent, very tasty and good portions and your staff under the direction of the General Manager were first class. It was good to see so many young girls, who appeared to be happy to give us a good and friendly service. The result is that I have already booked again for next year. Thank you

From my perspective it was a tongue in cheek exercise when I booked the hotel (it being a totally new venue) but you helped to make it a good experience with your friendly but efficient approach. The feedback from everybody was very positive, many mentioning the friendly and helpful staff, in all areas. Quite a number of couples have booked again for next year, always a good indicator of their satisfaction. All  the very best to all the staff.

I had no idea where to stay when I decided to bring my husband to the Lakes for a special birthday. However within seconds of speaking to the Receptionists I was no longer in doubt. The friendliness and helpful nature of the staff must mean the hotel would be good. It was better than good - the staff were excellent and certainly customer orientated. The hotel was extremeley clean and comfortable and the food superb. All in all we had a fabulous stay and would encourage anybody who is "just looking" to spend time at the Riverside. We would most certainly recommend it and hope to return.

We found our stay very enjoyable. The hotel has all the requirements we need and it was an added bonus that the children could go for a swim. The breakfast was very enjoyable and the staff are very efficient and polite.

I thought I would drop you a quick email to say a big thank you to you and your team for making us all feel so welcome at the Riverside for our family event. It gives me great pleasure to write this letter about my recent stay at your hotel. My wife and I stayed with you from 1st to 6th July inclusive and enjoyed a very pleasant few days. I would like this letter bringing to the attention of the staff concerned as I firmly believe that too often members of staff are unjustly criticized and not enough praise is given when it is due. I amde my reservation earlier in the year and had to change the dates. I therefore telephoned the hotel and spoke with your Receptionist. Her manner was professional, courteous and very pleasant. She dealt with my request in such a way that you had every confidence in her actions. We arrived at the hotel on the Sunday and were shown to our room. We found the room to be clean, spacious with adequate tea and coffee available. The bathroom was very clean which in some hotels is not the case. We met the lady in charge of such duties, we found her to be pleasant and very helpful but above that, very nice to talk with, nothing was any trouble to her. The restaurant was clean and well run. The waitress had a caring attitude which you could see was genuine. The waiter was also excellent and can only be complemented on his attention. His approach was not confined to ourselves.  On the occassions we used the bar facilities we were dealt with in a very professional manner . Your hotel should be congratulated on the approach and manner of the staff.

My husband and I were guests at the Riverside in March. We were in a group of 63 celebrating our Masonic Lodge Ladies weekend. As it was our first visit to the hotel we crossed our fingers that everything would go as planned. It is very difficult to please everybody. All I can say is your staff are an absolute credit to you. We did not get a single moan. Rooms perfect, food wonderful and plentiful and the service five star. Having travelled extensively here and abroad I can assure you the Riverside is up there with the best. On behalf of Bromwic Lodge I thank you and your staff most sincerely for giving us a weekend to remember fondly.

I would just like to thank you for a lovely few days stay in your hotel. The room was lovely, the staff were extremely accommodating and we felt very relaxed in the hotel. It was the first time we had been away with our 10 month old daughter and it was fantastic. Now I am back in Suffolk I feel that I must write to thank you all at the Riverside Hotel for making my stay with you so comfortable and happy, which coupled with being able to meet up with old friends made my holiday a very memorable one. My Mother and Father stayed with you recently for their wedding anniversary. On the morning of their visit, I called to order a bottle of champagne to be sent to their room. I don't know if this influenced the room you allocated but my Father has called me to say they had a beautiful suite, complete with four poster bed (he thought I had upgraded their booking). You really made it such a memorable occasion for them, especially as both have been quite ill in the recent past. They are still talking about the wonderful food too. Wonderful! May I say how much we enjoyed our stay in your hotel. You made it very special for us by putting us in the Bellingham Suite. As it was our wedding anniversary that made it extra special. I should also like to compliment you on your staff. The ladies on reception were very helpful, friendly and polite and made us very welcome. We ate in the bar on the two evenings. The gentleman who ran the bar was very professional, but very friendly and had a very pleasant manner. Lastly I would like you to pass on our thanks to the Chefs who were responsible for the bar food. The quality of which was excellent. It was very well prepared and the presentation was first class. The combination of flavours and textures was also first rate. I have lectured in Cordon Bleu cookery for longer than I care to remember and it takes a lot to impress me, but believe me I was impressed. I have not had such a perfectly cooked piece of salmon for a long time. That person can certainly cook fish. Congratulations on a very well run hotel.

It was the first time we had been to Kendal and the Lake District and we were so impressed with your staff.
